Career
At the age of seventeen, Tarasov signed his first professional contract with the club, where he grew up as a hockey player, with Ust-Kamenogorsk Torpedo. But for a long time he did not stay in the club, an extremely rare hit in the squad eventually led to a transfer to another club in just a year. In 1995, the athlete received an offer from the Russian club Metallurg Novokuznetsk and without hesitation accepted it. The club from Kuzbass acquired the new goalkeeper almost as a replacement for the old one, and after a couple of years Vadim began to take a place in the starting lineup regularly.
