Biography
Born in 1953 in the American town of Green Bay, Wisconsin. He was the ninth child out of ten children Joe and Helen Shalub. Tony's father emigrated from Lebanon at the age of nine, engaged in the wholesale supply of meat. Mother, also of Lebanese descent, was a housewife, was engaged in raising children.
Tony became interested in theater thanks to his older sister, who entered his name on the list of participants in the school theater performance. The boy liked being on stage, he began to participate in all school performances. During training at Green Bay East High School, he fell off the stage, having received multiple fractures. But he quickly recovered and continued acting.
After graduating from school, he entered the University of Southern Maine, graduated with a bachelor's degree. He completed his studies in 1980, receiving a master's degree in art at the Yale School of Drama.

Career
After graduating, joins the American Repertory Theater troupe, lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts. After playing with the troupe for four seasons, he decides to leave for New York. He made his Broadway debut in the play "The Odd Couple" in 1985.
In 1986, he starred in the widescreen film "Heartburn" in the small role of a passenger plane. But the scene with his participation was cut out. In the same year he starred in a cameo role in the television movie "The Equalizer".
Until 2002, continues to act in films and on television in episodic roles.
