Biography
Tom Kapinos was born July 12, 1969 in Levittown, a small town in the state of New York. Kapinos spent his childhood and youth in his native land. In 1987, Tom received his secondary education at Levittown School.
Career
In the mid-90s, Tom Kapinos decides to leave New York and go to California. He gets a job on television, where he reads scripts. The first place of work of Kapinos in Los Angeles - Creative Artists Agency. Over time, Tom begins to write scripts himself. One of them, created for the film "Virgin Mary", was acquired by Fox studio from Kapinos. The film was supposed to be released in 1999 with the famous actress Jennifer Aniston in the title role. However, the film was not destined to appear on the screens, as the script was rewritten several times, and the star of the television series "Friends" could not find time for "Virgin Mary" in her busy shooting schedule. The work of Tom Kapinos did not go unnoticed. The creators of the series "Dawson's Creek" showed interest in him. Soon Tom gets their job.
Tom began his career as a screenwriter, then worked on Dawson's Creek as an executive producer and creative consultant, and participated in the creation of the Lucifer series. Then, having gained the necessary experience, Kapinos decided to create his own series called Californication. Tom took over the script and the position of executive producer.
