Over the past three decades, Russia has sought to comply with European standards in all aspects of its life. In European countries, it became commonplace when a woman takes the post of Minister of Defense. The Russian Federation is several steps behind this parameter. It is possible that in a few years this gap will be eliminated. A real reason for such a forecast already exists. Today Tatyana Viktorovna Shevtsova holds the post of Deputy Minister of Defense of the country.
Starting conditions
Despite significant progress in the struggle for social equality between men and women, certain restrictions on the professional activities of the fairer sex remain in force. No matter how surprising it may sound, women in different countries are called up for military service. The Russian Federation is no exception to this list. Experts note that in the modern armed forces there are more and more posts that can be trusted with women.
Tatyana Viktorovna Shevtsova was born on July 22, 1969 in the family of a military man. At that time, parents lived in a small town in the Kaluga region. The child grew up and was brought up in a healthy environment. The girl was not spoiled, but accustomed to work and accuracy. At school, Tatyana studied well. She was engaged in physical education and amateur art. Always found contact with classmates. Having received a certificate of maturity, she decided to continue her education at the financial and economic institute of the city of Leningrad.
At the initial stage, Shevtsova’s biography developed “like everyone else”. After the institute, she was assigned to one of the district inspectorates of the tax service of St. Petersburg. For a decade and a half, a certified tax inspector worked with taxpayers of various categories. She knows firsthand how private sector enterprises and state-owned companies live. In 2004, Tatyana Viktorovna was transferred to the capital to the post of deputy chief of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation.
