On April 18, the Moscow Museum hosted the presentation of the project “Walking in Moscow with Yegor Beroev”, created by the leading Moscow experts in the Moscow Museum and the Filevskoye ice cream brand. A series of audio guides is devoted to curious facts from the history of the Central District of the capital. The "voice" and virtual guide of sightseeing routes was the famous theater and film actor, native Muscovite Egor Beroev. The launch of the project is dedicated to the Days of Historical and Cultural Heritage, which will again be held in the capital this spring.
The project is a series of three unique excursion routes in the center of the capital, developed by the Museum of Moscow, lasting 1.5 hours each. Audio guides will be laid out on the popular izi.TRAVEL venue monthly from April to June - it's time to walk around the city.
The first tour was called "Everything you wanted to know about Art Nouveau, or the art of living beautifully." The route is built around the Museum of Moscow and Providence warehouses and follows the area of Ostozhenka Street and its environs, traditionally famous for its luxurious mansions in the Art Nouveau style and expensive tenement houses.
The routes in the series are selected in such a way as to show the history of everyday life of Muscovites of different eras, their life, habits and customs through the architectural appearance of the city. Museum historians managed to find not only curious facts from the history of seemingly well-known streets of the city, but also sometimes find completely unexpected parallels with the modern life of the city.
For the Museum of Moscow, audio guides are a new and convenient format that will add novelty to previously existing only walking group tours.
"The Museum of Moscow is one of the oldest in the Russian capital. It has witnessed and preserved the heritage of many eras - the empire, wars, revolutions, the Soviet Union, perestroika. The unique collection of the museum has more than 1 million artifacts completely connected with Moscow. And most importantly - it is assembled with the participation of city residents. We keep archives of the most famous Moscow families. We know Moscow best of all. Therefore, all the stories we tell are lively, filled with a special personal attitude and warmth. Of course, we couldn't help them pouring; they gave the project a real authentic atmosphere, "said Alina Saprykina, director of the Museum of Moscow.
The idea of the project belongs to the Moscow Museum and the Filevskoye ice cream brand. And this collaboration is not accidental. “The brand’s history has been going on for more than 80 years, and all of it is inextricably linked with Moscow. In the 30s of the XX century, at the initiative of the People’s Commissar of the Food Industry Anastas Mikoyan, the Cold Storage Plant No. 8 was built. In fact, it was from our production that the whole history of Soviet ice cream began, which It still lives thanks to the fact that Filevskoye is still being made according to the same unique recipes. We do not hide pride, because there are almost no such unique artifacts in the field of consumer goods today. Together with the Museum of Moscow we are happy to share to tell a story and tell about the life and lifestyle of previous generations of Muscovites, including the place that ice cream occupied in their lives, ”commented Tatyana Vasilyeva, marketing director of Iceberry.
Each audio guide is voiced by a famous theater and film artist Yegor Beroev. All participants of the tour will be able to feel the special immersiveness of the project - as if a favorite actor is walking around the capital with us. “Probably every resident of Moscow knows the feeling when, having left somewhere in the city, you miss him madly, and how his heart beats when the plane lands at one of the capital's airports. I was born and raised here, for me the city is full of memories, smells and favorite species of the heart. I am very happy to be part of this project and talk about how beautiful our city is, "comments Yegor Beroev.
The days of historical and cultural heritage, held with the support of the Department of Cultural Heritage of Moscow, to which the project "Walking in Moscow with Yegor Beroev" is timed, is a very important initiative. It unites all the cultural institutions of the capital in order to share free of charge the most important and interesting in history, culture and art with the townspeople. You can familiarize yourself with the project in more detail and download for free the first audio guide, “Everything you wanted to know about modernity, or the art of living beautifully”, right now on the popular izi.TRAVEL platform, on the project page, and also on the Moscow Museum website.
