Starting conditions
Political activity attracts many young people. In this field, you can show your business skills and ability to communicate with people. The propensity for such work manifests itself at an early age. Sergei Konstantinovich Sitnikov was born on January 18, 1963 in an ordinary Soviet family. Parents lived in the famous Russian city of Kostroma. My father held a leadership position in the administration of the local woodworking plant. Mother worked as a teacher of Russian language and literature in one of the secondary schools.
In his childhood, the future politician was no different from the boys of that time. He spent most of his free time on the street. Sergey played football well and loved to ski. In high school he studied in the section of the classical struggle. He studied at a solid "four" at school. When the time came to choose a profession, Sitnikov decided to get an education at the history department of the local pedagogical institute. On a student bench, he not only mastered the curriculum, but also actively engaged in public affairs. An energetic and sociable guy was elected secretary of the Komsomol organization at the faculty.
In 1986, Sitnikov received a diploma of a teacher of history and social studies. The young specialist was persistently invited to stay in graduate school and engage in scientific creativity. However, Sergei did not seize the opportunity. He went to fulfill the honorable duty of a citizen of the Soviet Union - to serve in the army. Having served as it should, Sitnikov returned to his hometown. Here he was already expected and invited to a modest position as an instructor of the regional committee of the Komsomol. Sergei, with his inherent energy, began to fulfill his duties.
The career of the Komsomol leader was quite successful. Two years later, Sitnikov was elected secretary of the Komsomol regional committee for ideology. In 1991, when the state called the USSR ceased to exist, he went to work as editor of the Kostroma youth newspaper. First of all, the new editor renamed the publication "Young Leninist" into "Youth Line". In fact, the educational functions of the newspaper continued, only in a new, market direction. A year later, a committee on youth, family and childhood affairs was formed in the regional administration. The new structure was proposed to be headed by Sitnikova.

Sergey Sitnikov was appointed to the post of director. For four years, under his leadership, the company has taken a worthy place in the information field. The quality of the broadcast information has improved. The volume of attracted financial resources has increased. In 2002, a successful manager was appointed head of the state television and radio company Yantar in Kaliningrad.
The next job move took place in 2004. Sergei Konstantinovich was transferred to St. Petersburg as the director of the Baltic Media Group holding. On his initiative, the All-Russian festival of Orthodox television "Family of Russia" was held in the city on the Neva. Information about this event went through news feeds in all civilized countries. This fact was noticed in the Government of Russia. As governor
Within his competence, Sitnikov suggested that site owners be responsible not only for the content of the posted content, but also for comments. And he also introduced certain restrictions on the disclosure of personal data. Not all initiatives have received the approval of the online community. But the Law has come out, and it has to be observed. In 2012, the President of the Russian Federation appointed Sergey Sitnikov as acting governor of the Kostroma region. Deputies of the regional Duma by a majority vote approved the candidacy proposed by the President.
As is often found in modern practice, Sitnikov accepted matters in an upset state. Only knowledge of local conditions and experience gained while working in federal bodies allowed him to restore proper order as soon as possible. It is important to emphasize that the governor has at his disposal a very limited set of opportunities. Sergey Konstantinovich managed to effectively use all the control levers. In the next election of 2015, he received the full support of the population. Almost 70% of voters voted for him. Such trust is worth a lot.
