For his activities in the field of culture, Prokhorov was awarded the Golden Ostap Prize, he also has a medal "For Merit to the Fatherland", II degree. Currently heads the House of Scientists in St. Petersburg.
Biography
Sergey Anatolyevich Prokhorov was born in 1958 in Leningrad. Like most boys of those years, he dreamed of a real "male" profession, so after graduation he entered the Leningrad Shipbuilding Institute, where he was educated as an engineer. At the university, Sergey was an active member of the Student Club, which organized various events for young people. These were mostly discos¸ and he was a disc jockey there.
Then there was military service. The Siberian city of Omsk became his home for two years. True, he was lucky here - he served in the division headquarters: he made maps for exercises and filled out documents. There was hazing, but Sergey did not want to leave the service - he liked it there. Perhaps this is all due to humor and light character.
Career
After the army, Prokhorov worked at a research institute, where he had the opportunity to show creativity. As the showman himself said in an interview, his family was always fun, and everyone was joking. Perhaps that is why he loved humor and everything connected with it.
In combination, he worked at the Polytechnic University - spent the evenings "For those over 30". These were very funny discos, almost in the dark, to loud music, with different entertainment numbers.
At this time he began to play in KVN, and since 1985 he became the host of the city competitions of the Cheerful and Resourceful Club.
In 1987, having no acting or journalistic education, he became the host of entertainment programs on Leningrad television.
And in contrast, in 1991 he was appointed director of the House of Scientists, where he still works.

In 1993, a special period began in the life of Sergei Anatolyevich: he became the host of the Bluff Club television show and remained its unchanged host for fifteen years. First, the program went on television in St. Petersburg, and then relocated to the channel "Russia-Culture". This is one of the few programs that are not a repetition of Western entertainment television programs. Over the years, almost all celebrities have visited Prokhorov on television, and each later with pleasure remembered the friendly atmosphere and the friendly host.
