The most cherished desire of every resident of any large industrial center, exhausted by the constant gas supply, is to get full lungs of clean and fresh air. But to do this is not so simple in the conditions of modern megacities. An ideal way out of the situation is to go to the ecologically clean corners of Russia, where there are still secluded places with untouched nature.

Buryatia
This republic is considered one of the cleanest regions of the country. Buryatia is located in the center of Asia at the junction of several climatic zones at once, from the steppe to the forest-tundra, which perfectly affects the ecological situation of this territory. Conservation of nature is in the first place here and this has allowed to preserve many unique protected areas. The reserve fund of Buryatia includes about 7% of the republic’s area and has three large biosphere reserves - Baikal, Dzherginsky and Barguzinsky. Today, almost a fourth of the shoreline of Lake Baikal is under state protection. Several federal reserves are located in Buryatia, one of them is the "Tunkinsky National Park", which is known for the highest mountain of the Republic of Munku-Sardyk and thermal springs.
Altai
This place on the map of Russia is rightly called the "green health resort" of the country. Exactly here smog-ridden residents rush for the pristine purity of mountain rivers and unique healing air. Here the secluded corners of Altai have been preserved almost untouched, the mountain lakes are still clean, and the dense forests do not tire of turning the air into a real elixir of health. Such natural monuments as Tavdinsky caves, the Katun river, Mount Sinyukha, the salt lakes Kolyvanovskoye, Malinovoye and Maloye Yarovoye, Denisova cave are located here. And relic pine forests deserve special love from Altai fans.
Kabardino-Balkaria
The southern part of Russia is adequately decorated with Kabardino-Balkaria, the main attraction of which is the Caucasus Mountains with many small mountain lakes and rivers. Near the capital of the republic of Nalchik is a cozy resort Dolinsk, surrounded by a ring of mountains. Here in the valley there is a very special microclimate that positively affects the local coniferous and deciduous vegetation. In addition to clean mountain air in Dolinsk, you can undergo a course of treatment with mineral waters or improve your health by taking baths in hot springs.
