Eric Saade (Eric Khaled Saade) is a famous Swedish pop singer, songwriter, Eurovision 2011 participant (representative of Sweden), TV presenter.
Biography
Eric was born on October 29, 1990 in the village of Kattarp, in a Lebanese family with Palestinian Valida Saade and a Swedish woman with Estonian roots Marlene Jacobson. His parents divorced when the boy was 4 years old. He lived with his mother, and his father visited him on weekends.
Eric has seven sisters and brothers.
The biggest passion for music in the life of little Eric was soccer.
Career
Eric started writing songs at age 13, and concluded his first music contract at 15. He recorded his debut album and released three singles, which led him to victory in the Jocker contest and made him popular.
At the age of 17, Saade was cast in the What's Up boy band. The group quickly gained popularity among the Swedes and in the spring of 2008 traveled around the country.
Together the guys released the album "In pose" and a couple of singles - "Go Girl!" and "If I Told You Once", and also recorded a Swedish version of the title topic for the popular Disney comedy "Rock in the Summer Camp" and dubbing.
In 2009, Eric decided to leave "What's Up" and go on a solo voyage.
In the same year, Saade signed a contract with Roxy Recordings and in December released his first single "Sleepless".
In 2010, Eric takes part in the competition "Melodifestivalen 2010" with the song "Manboy" and takes third place, and his track becomes twice "platinum". A couple of months later, releases its debut studio longplay "Masquerade", which subsequently became the "gold". Eric goes with the album on the tour of the same name.
In 2011, Saade again tried her hand at "Melodifestivalen" and this time won with the song "Popular", gaining the right to represent Sweden at "Eurovision 2011".
In the Eurovision finals, Eric became the third, having demonstrated the best result of Sweden since 1999 and received a new “platinum” in his collection.
On June 29, 2011, Saade released the next studio longplay "Saade Vol. 1", the same year the second part of the album, "Saade Vol. 2", was released. Both albums were successful on the charts and had a huge number of fans. At home, the performer became a real star and went to perform with the "Made of Pop Concert" tour.
In 2013 he released the new album "Forgive me", in support of which three singles were released: "Coming Home", "Forgive Me", "Boomeran" and received 6 nominations for the "Scandipop Awards", and also played 15 concerts of the "Pop Explosion" tour Concert ".
In 2015, he performed for the third time on "Melodifestivalen" with the new song "Sting", and in May of the same year he released another single, "Girl From Sweden".
