Rain Dietrich Wilson is an American actor, screenwriter and director, who has accounted for more than seventy roles in films and TV shows. Wilson was best known for his role in the comedy television project Office, where he played the role of Dwight Schrut, for which he was nominated three times for the Emmy Award.

early years
Rain was born in the USA in the winter of 1966. His father was a famous writer, and his mother taught yoga in one of the sports clubs. Parents divorced when the boy was five years old, only his mother was engaged in his further education.
A boy from childhood was attracted by creativity. Already in his school years, he began to perform on stage. After receiving secondary education, Rain entered the university and began to study dramatic art. In 1986, having received a bachelor's degree, the young man went from Washington, where he lived with his mother, to New York to pursue a creative career.
In New York, Rain began performing on the stage of the theater and studying acting. Wilson devoted several years to a theatrical career, but then decided to try his hand at cinema, and therefore began to look for work on television.
Film career
Wilson received his first role in the melodramatic series "One Life to Live, " and then played in the movie The Expendables. The actor did not bring success to these works, but he began to receive invitations to new projects.
A year later, Raine starred in the sci-fi film "Finding the Galaxy", where A. Rickman and S. Weaver became his partners on the set. The film earned good reviews from film critics and viewers, collecting a pretty impressive box office at the box office.
Soon, Wilson was invited to shoot the film "Almost Famous", where he was lucky to be on the site with famous actors: P. Fuggite, C. Hudson and F. MacDormand. The film was nominated for an Academy Award "Academy Award" and received a prize in the category "Best Screenplay".
In the film "House of 1000 Corpses" Wilson finally gets the main role. The picture received many negative reviews from critics. Viewers called the film controversial, but despite this, the ratings of the film were quite high.
