Facts from the biography
The girl was born in the fall of 1974 in India. Her father is a famous actor and director Ravi Tandon. Ravina has a younger brother, Rajiv, who also chose the acting profession. He starred in a number of Indian films under the name Raaj. Parents named the girl Ravina, combining their names: Ravi and Vina. Her name translates as the sun.
Famous people from the world of cinema often gathered in the house. The girl grew up in a creative atmosphere and from childhood talked a lot with the stars of Bollywood. Together with his brother, they attended film premieres, regularly attended events and parties organized by representatives of the film industry.
In childhood, Ravina was a rather shy girl. It seemed to her that she was ugly and very fat. At eight, Ravina fell in love with her brother's friend. He did not pay any attention to her, and sometimes laughed at her, calling him a fat woman. Then the girl was determined to lose weight in order to win the favor of her chosen one.
And she really succeeded. The boy with whom she was in love for several years left the city to study. When he returned, he was literally amazed at the changes that occurred with the girl. Soon he invited her on a date. Over the years, she grew up, lost weight and became a real beauty.
Ravina attended the prestigious Jamnabai Narsee School, then continued her education at Bombay's Meethibai College.
Creative career
After graduating from college, Ravina worked in the advertising department of GENESIS. Once the director of the agency invited her to try herself as a model. Ravina agreed. Soon, she began to participate in her first photo shoots and star in commercials. The plot of the film was quite traditional. The gangster’s daughter, named Kieran, falls in love with the police officer’s son, Suraj. Having learned about his daughter’s love, the father decides to leave the world of crime, but his entourage does not want this and is going to separate the young people and crack down on Suraj’s relatives. The young man has nothing left to do but start a fight with the mafia.

From that moment, Tandon's career in Bollywood began to grow rapidly.
With actor Salman Khan, who played with her in the movie Stone Flowers, Ravina starred in four more films. But her main partner in many films was the famous actor and producer Govinda.
