Biography and first roles in the TV show
Ryan Thomas Gosling was born in 1980 in the provincial Canadian town of London. The boy's father was a sales agent and was on a regular road trip, and his mother worked as a secretary. Gosling's childhood was not easy: in those rare minutes that he spent with his parents, they quarreled and scandalized. In the end, in 1993 they filed for divorce. Both children, Ryan and his older sister Mandy, stayed with their mother.
Ryan Goslin was a very difficult child. He did not pay much attention to study, constantly got into fights and was not friends with anyone. Once he brought several knives to school to throw them at his classmates. A dangerous teenager had to be isolated from peers, so he switched to home education. Mother took her son to psychologists.
Specialists diagnosed the child with two diagnoses: Dyslexia and ADHD. Some time after visiting the doctors, the mother decided that her son simply could not realize all his creative energy in everyday life. She sent Ryan to Mickey Mouse Club, an American television show for young talents. In addition to Gosling, future world celebrities took part in the project: Timberlake, Spears, Aguilera. Ryan was not long on the project, because he was considered not talented enough in comparison with other participants. In one of the episodes, he danced four of them with other children, but at the final editing the Gosling dance was simply cut off. This pretty much offended the young man, but he did not give up, trying his way to other television shows and series.
Film career
In 1995, Ryan Gosling was invited to the series “Are you Afraid of the Dark?”, Then to “Ready or Not” and “The Amazing Wanderings of Hercules.” All roles were episodic, but brought the young man closer to the career of a successful actor. He took part in more than 10 projects before being given a serious role.
In 2001, Gosling made his debut on the big screen in the film "Fanatic". The young actor was able to realize the deep character of the ambiguous character. In 2004, the actor decided to try himself in a completely new role, agreeing to the role in the touching love drama "Memory Diary".
The picture was a huge success. Gosling and his co-star Rachel McAdams became world stars overnight. A year later, Ryan earned his first Academy Award nomination for his role in the movie Semi-Nelson. He was awarded the next nomination in 2017 for La La Land. The actor has not yet received a single sculpture, but his filmography is filled every year with cult films of our time.
In 2014, the famous actor became a screenwriter, producer and director of the fantastic film "How to Catch a Monster." Before that, he had already produced some works, but this one became the most serious. Unfortunately, the film was rated very low by critics. Since then, Gosling has decided to temporarily stop engaging in directing and concentrate on acting.
