Works by Otfried Preusler
Telling numerous stories about magical creatures, Preussler seemed to travel through his fantasies. It was at that moment that he had the idea to arrange the first tale.
The first book of the famous author "Little Watermark" appeared in 1956. It says that deep at the bottom of the green pond stood a house of reeds, and Mama and Papa Vodyany lived in it. And so, at one beautiful moment, they had a beautiful baby. Next, the book tells about the adventures of Little Water. This tale teaches children to listen to their parents, love nature and be careful.
A year later, Otfried Preusler publishes his next book, Little Baba Yaga. The story of this heroine is no less fascinating and interesting than the previous hero. According to the author, she appeared when he put his daughters to bed. The children dabbled and Otfried threatened that Baba Yaga would fly in and take them away with him. However, gradually telling the tale, it turned out that Little Baba Yaga was not so evil. Later, the author transferred his fantasies to the book, supplementing it with new adventures of the main character.

In addition to children's tales, Preussler was able to compose a fabulous detective "The Robber of Hotzenplotz." As it might seem at first glance, the book should contain scenes of murders and blood, however, this is not so at all. The worst punishment in the whole book is to peel potatoes from an evil wizard. Later, the sequel to the detective story was published, which was published in three volumes:
- "The Hotzenplotz Rogue and the Pepper Pistol,"
- "The Hotzenplotz Rogue and the Crystal Ball",
- "Robber Hotzenplotz and anthill stuffed."
