The rules of conduct when entering public transport
According to the etiquette observed at the entrance to any type of public transport, children, women and elderly people, as well as people with disabilities should be the first to enter. Having expressed a desire to help during landing, a man must necessarily ask for permission. There is no need to stand in the doorway, thus making it difficult for other passengers to pass. Also, you should not climb into the middle of a crowded cabin, pushing other people in your path. If it is not possible to transfer the fare to the conductor, you can politely ask one of the passengers about it. Entering public transport, you should remove bulk bags or backpacks from your shoulders so as not to hurt people.
If there is a need to transport bulky luggage by public transport, it should not create discomfort to others.
Who should give way
There are unwritten rules of civil etiquette, according to which the seats on buses, trolleybuses or trams are intended primarily for the elderly, children and the disabled. If passengers of these categories are seated, and at the same time empty seats still remain, they are occupied by women and girls. A man can take a seat in public transport if nearby passengers do not claim this place. Before a man or a young man is obliged to ask the passengers standing next to them if they would like to sit down.
Men are obliged to give way to absolutely all women, and women, in turn, must give way to older people or people with disabilities.
Rules of conduct inside the vehicle
