Biography
Polyanskaya Ekaterina Vladimirovna was born in Leningrad in 1967. The childhood in her life was not cloudless. For five years she was left without a mother, so a real life school came for her. But still, Ekaterina Polyanskaya preserved bright memories of her childhood. Although in one of the poems, the memory of the father is associated with a sense of anxiety. And the black piano still causes not delight, but a huge pain, because when her mother died, in the same room she played it at the age of five. But the music teacher remembers her with gratitude. She remembers a lot, including her grandmother's story about how relatives were evacuated from Leningrad on a barge, and in the hold they listened with fear to the roar of airplanes and the splashing of water.
Medic and poet
In St. Petersburg, Ekaterina Polyanskaya received a medical education, graduating from I.P. Pavlova. This woman is extraordinary and strong-willed. At work, she became an impeccable specialist in medicine. At the same time, it took place as a poet.
Poetic activity
Ekaterina Polyanskaya loved to read poems by contemporary poets. True, not for long, but attended one of the St. Petersburg literary associations. Helped the formation of the poet B.G. Druyan, who led the poetry department in the Neva magazine. Thanks to this man, her first publication in the Neva appeared.
From 1998 to 2014, 7 poetry collections by Ekaterina Polyanskaya were released.

In an autobiography written for the third volume of the anthology, Our Time, Ekaterina Polyanskaya reports that she did not visit any literary associations in her childhood or in her youth. Friends and acquaintances were not interested in literature. When her husband took her poems to the editorial office of the Neva magazine, he hoped for a refusal. Allegedly, the wife’s hunt for writing will disappear. But it turned out differently. Bells were printed. According to some reports, Ekaterina Polyanskaya has two loves in her personal life - poetry and equestrian sport.
