If you want to move to permanent residence from Ukraine to Russia, you will first have to obtain a temporary residence permit with or without quotas, as well as the compatriots resettlement program.

Find out if you are entitled to relocate to Russia and obtain a temporary residence permit without quotas. Citizens having such rights include: - those who were born on the territory of the RSFSR and were formerly a citizen of the USSR; - those who were born on the territory of Russia; - persons who are recognized as incapable of work and have children who are citizens of the Russian Federation; would be one incapable parent who is a Russian citizen; - persons married to a Russian citizen who has permanent registration on the territory of the Russian Federation; - persons who have invested fixed amounts in the Russian economy; - persons who have contracted for military service (only for wed to the service).

If you are related to one of these categories of citizens of Ukraine, then you can enter the territory of the Russian Federation in a visa-free manner. Upon arrival in Russia, submit the following documents to the Department of the FMS: - a passport (or passport of a citizen of Ukraine); - a migration card with a note about crossing the border; - certificates and certificates confirming your right to obtain a temporary residence permit without taking into account quotas. Attach to these documents an application for the issuance of RVP to you and pay the state fee in the prescribed amount.

Submit to the Federal Migration Service certificates that you have no criminal record in Russia and Ukraine, as well as certificates from medical institutions that you are not a carrier of dangerous diseases and do not use drugs. This should be done no later than 30 days after the initial treatment.

Get a temporary residence permit no later than 60 days after the first application. If you have provided incomplete or inaccurate information about yourself, you will be denied RVP.

If you do not belong to any of the indicated categories of citizens, then you can get RVP only within the quota by submitting an application to one of the Russian consulates. In addition, you can become a member of the State program to assist compatriots in resettlement to the territory of the Russian Federation. To do this, you need to contact the Russian Embassy in Ukraine.
