Paul Peale was born in a small Canadian city called London. His parents were interested in creativity all his life, but were from another place. After moving to Canada, they relatively quickly found a job. The artist's father worked as a stone carver, and also taught drawing lessons at a local school. Gradually, he began to teach his craft and son.

If we talk about historical facts, they indicate that earlier on the site of the young artist’s hometown several settlements of Indians were located.
Gradually, Europeans began to populate it. And at a time when more than 10 thousand people already lived in London, the artist’s parents arrived, he worked exclusively in the academic style. The spouses had eight children, they were brought up mainly in a creative environment. Parents paid most attention to Paul and his younger sister by the name of Mildred, since from an early age they discovered a talent for painting. If we talk about the childhood of a young artist, then it took place in a village called Fansho Pioneer. Later, the artist will constantly depict this place in the paintings.

Currently, this village is a real museum, and under the open sky. Its employees are dressed in costumes of the old era, and the streets with houses are carefully cleaned, restored and able to transfer tourists to the past in a few moments. The village also has a large farm, a wood processing plant, a luxury hotel.

Education
It was not only his parents who were involved in Paul's education; later, he was taught to paint landscapes by William Lees Judson. It was this artist who instilled in Paul an incredible love of academic style. As soon as Paul began to acquire more and more artistic skills, he decided to leave Canada and go to Pennsylvania to enter the Academy.
The director and principal teacher of the academy, while Paul Peel was studying there, was Thomas Eakins. He taught artists various methods. Students studied anatomy, as well as perspective, even art history, various drawing techniques of not only still lifes, but also portraits. Eakins believed that any talented artist should want to study the world necessarily visually. The teacher also used another teaching method: he invited his students to draw sketches immediately with a brush and paints. In the life of the artist there were many more teachers who instilled in him the skills necessary for work.
A family
In the city of Pont Aven, the artist met Izaura Fanchetta Verdier, she was an excellent artist of Danish origin.
Gradually, Paul began to spend more and more time with this amazing girl and build her personal life with her. And relatively quickly, they decided to get married. The couple had only two children.
