Oksana Pochepa, also known by the pseudonym Shark, is one of the few “zero” stars that continues her career on the Russian stage today, delighting fans of her talent.
Biography and career of the singer
Oksana Pochepa was born on July 20, 1984 in the warm and sunny city of Rostov-on-Don. At that time, the family already had a child - the elder brother of Oksana Mikhail. The girl’s father, Alexander, non-embodied dreams about the scene, dreamed of realizing through his daughter. Moreover, Oksana from childhood had a noticeable love for public speaking and music. When she was seven years old, along with a regular school, she began to attend the Rimsky-Korsakov music school. In addition to music education, parents paid attention to the physical development of the girl. Oksana was engaged in sports acrobatics. Despite the fact that Oksana Pochepa from an early age actively participated in amateur activities of a kindergarten, school, was engaged in music and publicly spoke about the building of a professional musical career.
In 1998, Andrei Baskakov, a DJ on local radio, announced the recruitment of girls in a new musical project, called "Youngsters." 14-year-old Oksana went to the casting to support her friend, who decided to try her hand. Despite this, the young girl was still noticed and asked to sing. Andrei was struck by the sonorous voice of the young performer and approved Oksana as a soloist of the collective. "Youngsters" have become popular far beyond the borders of Rostov-on-Don. Very young Oksana performed on the same stage with such stars of the time as Legalize, Decl and became a style icon for many teenagers.
In 2000, she received an offer from Sergey Zhukov, lead singer of the Hands Up group, to act as a solo artist. Oksana needed to make a choice between continuing her studies and a career as a singer. And the love of the stage and singing won. Since then, Oksana Pochepa began performing under the pseudonym Shark, a deliberate producer, and the songs “Acid DJ”, “I Run Away”, “Flocks of Birds”, “Love” sounded on popular radio stations and music channels. In 2003, the girl went on a tour of America and stayed there for three whole years, and in 2006 returned to Russia with the new album "Such Love".
Soon begins a new stage in the work of the singer. Having left the producer Sergey Zhukov, Oksana Pochepa will release her solo albums “Shark” (2010) and “Star” (2014). In 2015, the singles “Goodbye Berlin” and “Melodrama” will be released, and later the songs “Girlfriend” (2016) and “Bride” (2018) will be written.
Oksana Pochepa continues her independent solo career, never ceasing to please fans of her work with new songs.
