All publications discussed the performance, which reflected the patriotism of the mood of post-war youth. They wrote about the beginning lyceum that he surprisingly fully revealed the spiritual world of his character.
Thanks to Perov’s talent, the audience saw his spiritual nobility behind the severity of Korchagin’s character. After the first deafening success, the star actor did not start with the young actor. With even greater efforts, he began to master artistic skill.
Genius scene
A year later, Eugene got the role of the Storyteller in the production of "The Snow Queen." This image was also played brilliantly. This was followed by work on the role of Andrei Gavrilovich Dubrovsky on Pushkin's novel Dubrovsky. The young performer got used to the role of a middle-aged landowner.
In the scene of the meeting with Troekurov, Evgeny Vladimirovich so naturally depicted an insult that the audience froze, worried about the artist.
The performer came out onto the stage without makeup. He only changed his hair. Perov preferred either combing his hair parted or “standing on end”. In Uncle Tom’s Cabin, Evgeni Vladimirovich got the main character.
The artist had to use black makeup. According to the plot of the production, Tom says goodbye to loved ones after the sale. The artist cried with emotion so that tears flowed down his cheeks, washing away the makeup and forming white stripes. But the audience sobbed with him, not noticing the comic situation.
Almost all the actors of the CDT were made famous by the parish of Efros. At that time, the director was fond of the work of Rozov. Perov sensitively perceived the heroes of the playwright. They ideally suited his character with their directness, naturalness. The actor was involved in all performances.
He became a real celebrity after “In Search of Joy” in 1957. For fifteen years, the production did not leave the stage. On the same play in 1960, the film "Noisy Day" was shot with Perov in the title role. The work brought him all-Union popularity. Despite the fact that the image of Ivan Lapshin was negative, he was remembered by many in the performance and picture.
The culmination was the scene of stopping a son who had swung at his son, who had not previously rebuked his father, father Gennady. The actor’s face at these moments radiated despair from the loss of control over the offspring. The realization that Gennady became an adult filled the artist’s eyes with tears, making it impossible to continue viewing without a lump in his throat.
