Starting conditions
The large-scale processes taking place in the country leave deep traces in the fates of ordinary citizens. Lilita Arvidovna Ozolinya was born on November 19, 1947. The family at that time lived in Riga. The child grew up and watched how people around live. From an early age, the girl was accustomed to work and accuracy. Mother until 1940 worked as an assistant director at the Riga film studio, which belonged to German citizens. My father served as a pilot on local airlines. During the war they were in settlements in places not so remote.
At school, Lilita studied well. Found a common language with classmates. Diligently mastered the English language. The girl’s favorite subjects were biology and music classes. In those days, in every educational institution there were courses of nurses. Ozolin successfully graduated from these courses and made real plans to get a medical education. However, the home environment, communication with her mother made appropriate adjustments to the mood of the girl. And in high school, she began to prepare for an acting career.
Professional activity
In the biography of Lilith, it is noted that after graduation she entered the "People's Film Actor Studio", created at the local film studio. After completing the first year, a talented student was accepted into the troupe of the famous Dailes Theater. The young actress organically fit into the measured schedule. I did not miss rehearsals and tried to clearly fulfill the wishes and requirements of the directors. At the same time as working in the theater, Lilitu was attracted by film creativity. She played her debut role on the screen in the film "When rain and wind knock on the window."
Spectators and critics accepted the film favorably. For Ozolini, this was the first step, after which a triumphal march on the screens of the country began, so to speak. The actress received universal recognition after the release of the film "The Long Road in the Dunes". Lilith played the role of Martha. Many viewers called her that in their letters. The audience’s love was limitless. The girls did the same hairstyle as Martha. Well-deserved for this image, Ozolin received the State Prize.
