Find out the address of the territorial election commission at your place of registration. This information can be obtained on the official website of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation. To do this, find the map of Russia in the central part of the main page, click on it. Select the desired subject of the Russian Federation, follow the prompts of the map. In the page that opens, find the address and opening hours of the election commission to which you are attached upon registration.

Visit the territorial election commission at your place of registration. This must be done in strictly allotted hours for the reception of voters, but no later than the day preceding the start of elections.

Present the passport of the Russian Federation to the election commission officer.

Fill out the application form for an absentee ballot, put your signature.

Get an absentee ballot on hand.

Visit the polling station at the place of your actual location on election day, present an absentee ballot and passport of the election commission.

Issue a power of attorney to receive an absentee ballot for your representative if you cannot visit the territorial election commission at the place of your registration yourself. Keep in mind that this document must be certified by a notary public or private. If you are in a medical institution, the power of attorney must be certified by the administration of the medical institution. Based on this power of attorney and your passport, your representative will receive an absentee ballot at the territorial election commission at your place of residence.

If you are on the road on election day, keep in mind that polling stations will be located at railway stations and airports. A list of these places is presented on the website of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation.
