The popular actress of the national theater and cinema - Olga Ostroumova - grew up in a large and friendly family in the Orenburg region (Buguruslan), in which a solid life foundation was laid, which gave her the opportunity to fully realize herself in the creative field. It was at the age of ten, when she first got to the play in which her mother’s friend played, Olga decided for herself to become an actress involved in this incredible sense of celebration and spiritual rejoicing.
Biography and career of Olga Mikhailovna Ostroumova
On September 21, 1947, in the Orenburg province, the future People's Artist of Russia was born in a teaching family (father is a physics teacher and mother is a housewife). In this family there were two more sisters (Raisa and Lyudmila) and brother George. In addition, Olga's father was the regent of the church choir, and three generations of their men were priests. Family breakfasts and dinners at a large table, tea on the veranda and a brass band were direct attributes of that sweet heart of life.
In 1966, Olga received a certificate of secondary education and went to Moscow for admission to GITIS. She came here, though not with ease, but arrived the first time. It was the workshop of Varvara Alekseevna Vronskaya that became for her a real alma mater. In 1970, Ostroumova graduated from her university and was admitted to the Moscow Youth Theater. Here for three years she went on stage, after which she moved to the theater on Malaya Bronnaya. At this time, important roles were played in productions: "Wolves and Sheeps", "Petty Bourgeois", "Enemies", "Veranda in the Forest", "Summer and Smoke" and others.
In 1984, after leaving the theater of Anatoly Efros, the actress leaves these stages in favor of the Theater of Miniatures. And then in her life, the Mossovet Theater became a creative house, where theater-goers could enjoy her inspirational work on stage in the productions of Widowed Steamer, Madame Bovary, for which she was awarded the Stanislavsky Prize in 1994, The White Guard, "Dance teacher", "Cherry Orchard", "Silver Age" and others.
Olga Ostroumova made her film debut in 1968, when she played the most beautiful girl in the class in the legendary film "We'll Live Until Monday", which rightfully entered the gold fund of Soviet cinema.
