From the biography of Maxim Roaldovich Osadchy
The future actor, director and cameraman was born in Krasnoyarsk on August 8, 1965. One of Maxim’s first childhood hobbies was black and white photography. When the boy was 11 years old, his older sister Elena entered VGIK. Sometimes she took him to a lecture, where Maxim absorbed new and interesting information. It was in those years that Osadchy began to think about the profession of an actor.
A little later, Maxim watched the film "Solaris" by Andrei Tarkovsky. After this, the young man had no doubts about the choice of his life path: he firmly decided to make films.
At the end of school, Osadchy followed in the footsteps of his older sister and entered the VGIK. He studied on the course of V. Nakhabtsev.
Carier start
In the late 80s, immediately after graduation, the sister invited Maxim to become the operator of the film, which she was making. Filming actually began even before Osadchim defended his diploma. After some time, the young cameraman began work on the film "Alice and the Book-keeper" with director Alexei Rudakov.
In the 90s, work became very bad: almost no films were shot in the country. Then Maxim decided to shoot commercials. He made advertisements for chocolate, different types of beer, for mobile operators.
Another direction in the work of Osadchy was clips on the compositions of Russian performers. Maxim successfully worked with Alla Pugacheva, Valery Meladze, Dmitry Malikov. To compare the work in the cinema and advertising industry Osadchy considers senseless. But the operator recognizes that creativity opportunities exist in various fields of activity.
Becoming a master
After the crisis that swept Russia, Maxim decided to temporarily leave for the United States. Thanks to his extensive connections, he quickly found application for his abilities. With America, he was doing what he knew best: filming clips and commercials. He was not going to conquer Hollywood.
In 1999, Osadchy returned to his homeland, where it seemed to him more interesting to live. At first, there was little work, but soon Osadchy began to be invited to work on films. In collaboration with Tigran Keosayan, Osadchy shot the film "The President and His Granddaughter."
In 2001, Channel One invited Maxim to shoot in the project "Old Songs about the Main."
A significant moment in Osadchy’s career was the work on the film “9 companies” by Fedor Bondarchuk. The director and cameraman have known each other since their studies. Before this film, Osadchy had never worked on complex staging projects. During the filming, the group had to shoot with several cameras at once. As a result, the picture was extremely successful.
In subsequent years, Osadchy recorded in his asset work on the paintings "Inhale-Exhale" and "Heat." In the last of these films, Maxim was entrusted with playing a small role.
Then there was another picture of Bondarchuk - "Inhabited Island". To work on the film, the director again invited Osadchy. In subsequent years, the cameraman shot the films “Without Men”, “Kitty”, “Two Days”, and “Kokoko”.
One of the most productive years for Osadchy was 2013, when several films shot with his participation were released at once. The operator again managed to work with Bondarchuk during the filming of the military drama "Stalingrad".
