Vasily Sergeevich Ordynsky - Soviet film director, actor and screenwriter. He was awarded the title of Honored Artist and People's Artist of the RSFSR.

Vasily Ordynsky was the first spouse of Lyudmila Gurchenko.
The beginning of the creative path
The future famous artist was born on April 6 in 1923 in Kostroma. The boy dreamed of an acting career since childhood. However, his plans did not come true because of the outbreak of war.
In August 1941, a young man was drafted into the army. He graduated from a military school in 1942. After that, Ordynsky went to fight.
Vasily Sergeevich commanded a platoon in a mortar company as part of a special battalion. The future artist fought on the First Belorussian and Voronezh fronts. During the battles, the Horde was seriously wounded.
He ended the war in Germany. For front-line services, Vasily Sergeyevich was awarded the Order of the Great Patriotic War of the first degree.
Ordynsky was demobilized in 1948. Even during the battles, Vasily did not forget about the dreams of cinema. But the decision was not about an acting career.
He entered VGIK at the directing department, deciding to create a movie. After completing his studies in 1954 in the studio of Gerasimov and Makarova, Ordynsky made his debut in the short film "Trouble". The premiere went unnoticed.
The first landmark work was the film "Man was born." The picture became one of the rental leaders: it was watched by about thirty million people.
First work
In the melodrama, according to the script of Agranovich, the girl who came to conquer the capital, Nadezhda Smirnova, is told. She did not pass exams at the institute, but she met Vitaly from Moscow.
The girl fell in love with a young man from an intelligent family. Soon, Nadia realized that she was expecting a baby. Vitaly left her. The people around Nadia helped to overcome difficulties.
This was followed by the popular tape "Four", "Peers", "First Love", "Clouds over Borsky." Vladimir Vysotsky made his film debut in Ordynsky’s film “Peers”. He played in the episode and is not indicated in the credits.
The director did not receive any awards for the work, but the film became one of his favorite viewers. The most famous film of Ordynsky as a director was the 1977 film adaptation of the work of Alexey Tolstoy's "Walking through the agony."
Cinema history tells of four representatives of the intelligentsia who find themselves in the whirlpool of civil war and revolution. Two sisters Bulavins, Dasha and Katya, their chosen ones, Ivan Telegin, who became the commander of the Red Army, and officer Vadim Telegin are shown in various circumstances.
The director himself sometimes starred in episodic roles in his paintings. Ordynsky played in "Baku Lights", "Shield and Sword".
The 1984 war drama Throughout All Years became the final work of the master. The main role in the film was played by Olga Bityugova.
In the story, at school, Sasha Demin fell in love with Vassa Druzhinin. The girl reciprocated. Due to the unfair accusation of Vassa's father, she had to leave her hometown in the thirties.
The lovers managed to find each other, but the war again parted them until the victorious spring of 1945. Both met in Germany and immediately got married. The next morning, Vassa died.

Recognition and rewards
In 1965, the director himself became an Honored Artist. Nine years later he was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Russian Federation.
For the film "At Your Threshold", the director received an Honorary Diploma in 1964. Based on real events, the film tells about the defense of Moscow by anti-aircraft gunners. In Lobnya they installed a monument.
Three years later, at the festival of short films in Oberhausen, the director's work won the same award for the project “If Your Home Is Important to You”.
1982 brought the director a special prize and the Prize of the Ministry of Defense for the film dedicated to the joint struggle of the peoples of the USSR and Mongolia against imperialist forces.
The film "Through the Gobi and Khingan" was awarded the prestigious national prizes of several countries in the same period.
