Olga Khokhlova, a native of Siberian Angarsk, despite the complete absence of a dynastic startup, managed to make her way to the very heights of the Russian creative Olympus with extraordinary perseverance, determination and natural talent. She is better known to the general public as the star of the performances "The Death of Tarelkin" and "Plasticine", the series "Personal Life of Doctor Selivanova" and "Kadetstvo", the author's movie "Bed Scenes".
Biography and career of Olga Vladimirovna Khokhlova
On December 25, 1965, the future theater and film actress was born in an intelligent Siberian family (father is an engineer, and mother is a teacher at a music school). Since childhood, Olga studied at a music school, especially fond of performing folk songs and dreaming of becoming a famous artist.
After graduating from high school, Khokhlova entered the acting department of the Far Eastern Institute of Arts. It was in the workshop of A. Mamontova that Olga Vladimirovna received those necessary basic knowledge, which subsequently she was able to successfully implement. In 1987, she graduated from her university and entered the service at the Primorsky Regional Theater in Vladivostok. Here she made her debut on the stage and played many diverse roles.
However, the ambitions of the young actress did not allow her to be content with what was achieved, and she went in the middle of the “nineties” to conquer Moscow. The minute meeting with Konstantin Raikin in Satyricon ended in a resounding failure, after which Khokhlova plunged into a powerful depression. Olga Drozdova, a native of Primorye, dissuaded her from returning to Vladivostok, who at that time was already a famous actress.
And so, after many trips to all kinds of castings, what happened could in the full sense be called luck. Olga Khokhlova was accepted into the troupe of the metropolitan theater "At the Nikitsky Gate", where she went on stage only in the second cast. Here she was able to hone her acting skills, and later turn the invaluable experience into real luck.
Further, the aspiring actress worked for some time at the Stanislavsky Theater and Na Perovskaya, after which she was noticed by Kirill Serebryanikov, who invited Khokhlova to the role in the play Plastilin. It is from this moment that the real ascent of the star Olga Khokhlova to the heights of Russian glory begins. Until now, the actress’s theater house is the Center for Drama and Director Kazantsev and Roshchin, where the premiere of that triumphant production took place, for which she was awarded the prestigious Seagull Prize. And then there were a lot of successful theatrical works, which included performances: “Flooring”, “Zero Three”, “Transfer”, “Boris Godunov” and others.
Olga Vladimirovna Khokhlova made her film debut in 1997 with the painting "Kotovasiya". Then there were film works in the films: “New Year's Story”, “The Adventures of Solnyshkin” and “Paranoia”. And starting with the "zero", her filmography began to rapidly replenish. Today, on the account of the actress, there are more than one hundred and seventy film works, among which the following should be highlighted: “Shadow Boxing” (2005), “Kadetstvo” (2006), “Heat” (2006), “Point” (2006), “The Best film "(2007), " The personal life of Dr. Selivanova "(2007), " Protection "(2008), " Daddy's Daughters "(2009-2012), " Brothers Karamazov "(2009), " Churchill "(2010), " Doctor Tyrsa "(2010), " Method of Lavrova - 2 "(2012), " Pennsylvania "(2015), " Marry New Year "(2016).
