Philosophers in ancient times claimed that man is the smith of his own happiness. The exact choice of a profession brings satisfaction every day. But it is not so easy to choose the main sphere of your activity once and for a lifetime. Oleg Dmitriev at an early age linked his fate with the theater. The boy was born on April 26, 1970 in an intelligent family. Parents lived in the famous city of Leningrad. My father was engaged in the design of buildings and structures. Mother worked as an administrator in one of the city theaters.
The boy went to school already prepared. He learned to read early and knew many poems. Oleg studied well. He was able to find a common language with peers. In high school, he was carried away by classes in the city Youth Theater. He played diverse roles in various productions. In the play based on Russian folk tales, the aspiring actor convincingly presented the stubborn goat to the audience. And in the play "Thumbelina" he got the role of Elf. When the time came to choose a profession, Oleg already knew for sure that he would become an actor.
Professional activity
Having received a certificate of maturity, Dmitriev entered the faculty of dramatic art at the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography. After the first year, I had to interrupt my studies - there was no military department at the institute, and the student was drafted into the armed forces. Oleg spent the whole year at the Central Academic Theater of the Soviet Army. Held with benefit, gaining acting and directorial experience. Returning to a civilian, Dmitriev continued to receive education and entered the service at the Maly Drama Theater.
In the early 90s, a student team with the participation of Dmitriev staged the play "Gaudeamus". In that chronological segment, the country was shaken by political cataclysms. To join the European values and earn extra money, the group went on a trip to foreign countries. Young actors showed their performance in Germany, France and Italy. Fresh impressions and knowledge served as an additional incentive for creative activity. In 2004, Oleg made his debut as a director, staging the play "Don Perlimplin's Love".
