Battle way
He went to the front in August 1941, drafted to the western front, later it was called the Kalinin Front. He became an assistant platoon commander with the rank of senior sergeant in the 1030th regiment.
With this regiment, Nikolai Nikitovich went through the entire Great Patriotic War, from Moscow to Koenigsberg to Berlin.
Demobilized in June 1945 with the rank of senior lieutenant.

He participated in the first largest defeat of the Germans on the Eastern Front - defensive battles for Moscow. For participation in the December offensive was awarded the medal "For Military Merit". Later he received the medal "For the Defense of Moscow".
In June 1942, Nikolai Nikitovich was shell-shocked, fell under the bombing. Despite the injury, he refused to go to the medical battalion and remained in service.

In 1943, for the skillful leadership of the unit entrusted to him during the capture of the city of Ostrogozhsk, as a result of which the warlike Hungarian and German divisions were blocked, hundreds of fascists were destroyed, Nikolai Nikitovich Klochkov was awarded the Order of the Red Star.
In 1944, already in the rank of lieutenant he participated in the Belarusian offensive operation "Bagration". In this operation, its author in a head-on battle destroyed the military unit of the Nazis, while retaining all military vehicles and not losing a single soldier in the battle. Nikolai Nikitovich personally captured 11 Germans. For skillful actions, he was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree.
In 1945, Klochkov took part in the liberation of the city of Koenigsberg. On April 9 this year, troops stormed the Konigsberg fortress - the impregnable capital of East Prussia - almost lightning fast, in just 4 days. For this, the hero Klochkov was awarded the medal "For the capture of Koenigsberg."
Then there was the capture of Berlin. This was the final part of the Berlin military offensive operation and the culmination of the entire war. On May 2, 1945, the Red Army broke the defenses of the capital of Nazi Germany. For participation in this decisive battle Nikolai Klochkov was awarded the medal "For the capture of Berlin."
For participation in the Second World War he was awarded the medal "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945."
The hero went through the whole war without a single wound until 1945, then was demobilized. However, in December 1945 he was again drafted into the army and enlisted. Result: 23 years of military service status.
