The desire of women to equality with men in all spheres of society is called feminism. But like any social movement on a global scale, there are many varieties of this phenomenon.

Feminism has more than 30 varieties, the main ones are:
Liberal feminism
Liberal feminism was one of the first in the mid-19th century. Such feminists see the sources of inequality between men and women in the fact that women are considered a priori weaker in public life, that gender equality is rooted primarily in the minds, since it is generally accepted that this is so inherent in nature. The theoretical basis of equality is the theory of natural human rights, developed by the French Enlightenment. Therefore, the main difference between liberal feminism and other species is the formula "gender equality in everything." The activists of this movement are criticized just because they do not take into account gender differences, fully equating men and women. This type of feminism remains relevant even now, if in the XIX century its main directions were the struggle for the possibility of obtaining a higher education, for the accessibility of many professions and obtaining electoral rights, then in the modern world the requirements of equal conditions for the sexes in all spheres of society are put forward.
Radical feminism
This type of feminism belongs to the second wave of this movement and arose in the second half of the 20th century. The reason for gender inequality for radical feminists lies in the existing gender roles, and more precisely in the prosperous patriarchy in the world. Men exploit women primarily in the family, and already further this applies to public life. Radicalism itself is that women propose to break and destroy the existing patriarchal system. Often their views are expressed in the form of hatred towards men and criticism and non-recognition of other types of feminism.
Marxist feminism
The name itself suggests that the basic ideas of oppression and exploitation were taken from the works of K. Marx and F. Engels. Activists of this feminism claim that women are oppressed at work, in everyday life (following the example of the oppression of classes in Marxism). There is a certain similarity with radical feminism, as they see the reason for the exploitation of women in the unequal patriarchal system of society.
Humanism
This type of feminism is also called “black” because it unites not only women, but black women in the struggle for equality. Representatives of humanism believe that “white” women defend only their rights, forgetting about representatives of other races. The main problem raised by humanists is racism.
