Robert Minnullin is a famous Tatar poet, publicist and politician. He began his creative activity in the 60s of the last century. He worked in periodicals, more than once won in creative competitions of the republican and all-union scale. After a change in the country's political course, the journalist and children's writer tried his hand at politics.

The future Tatar poet, politician and journalist was born on August 1, 1948 in the village. Shammetovo, located in the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In the mid-60s, Minnullin worked in one of the district newspapers as a literary employee. Robert received his higher education at Kazan State University, which he graduated in 1973.
In the next four years, Minnullin worked as a correspondent in the popular newspaper Yash Leninchi. Then he was the editor and executive secretary of the publication "Kazan Utlary".
In 1979, the journalist joined the Communist Party.
In the early 80s, Minnullin received the post of chief editor of television in Tatarstan. Then he took the same position in the publication "Eat Leninchi."
In Soviet times, Minnullin was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Komsomol Central Committee and the Tatar Regional Komsomol Committee. In 1977, the journalist won the contest on a national scale, presenting to the public a work of art that he devoted to nature conservation.
Career in politics
In 1990, Robert Mugallimovich was elected People's Deputy of Tatarstan. Then he headed the commission of the State Council of this republic on national issues and culture. From 2000 to 2004, Minnullin was Deputy Head of the State Council of the Republic. In 2009, he was elected to the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan of the fourth convocation, where he worked until 2014.
