Student years
The future writer and comedian was born on July 21, 1948. Parents lived in the resort town of Jurmala. Father - a famous Soviet writer, author of the novel "Cupid". Mother is a housewife. Michael grew up an active and inquisitive boy. Already in the lower grades of the school, he attended classes in a drama studio and took part in performances. The first role that Zadornov played on stage was Turnip, from a fairy tale of the same name. Then Misha was offered more significant roles. Despite the sign of fate, Mikhail, after the tenth grade, decided to enter the Moscow Aviation Institute. At the appointed time, he received a diploma in mechanical engineering and remained in the relevant department as a junior research assistant. Scientific activity did not distract him from participating in the student theater, which was known throughout the country. The theater was called "Russia". For several years, the creative team has successfully toured all Soviet republics. For the great work of educating the younger generation, young actors became laureates of the Lenin Komsomol Prize.

Along with performances on stage, Zadornov regularly wrote miniatures, sketches, novels, short stories and other texts. Among the humorists who have received recognition from viewers across the country, a special resonance was caused by the "Open Letter to the Secretary General" and "9th Carriage." At the next stage of his creative activity, the writer tried himself as the host of well-known television programs: "Laughing Panorama", "Full House", "Mother Daughters", and "Satirical Forecast." The most expressive performance of a comedian is considered to be the congratulation of the Russians on the New Year of 1991, which the president of the country was to deliver.
Zadornov’s performances, in which he laughs at the Americans, were especially sympathetic to the Russian audience. The satirist compiled a program called "American Stupidity." In it, he ridiculed not only Americans, but also Russians, who stupidly imitate foreign counterparts. Mikhail Nikolaevich made the documentary "Rurik. Lost Real Estate". The picture caused heated discussions in the scientific community.
