Biography of Lyudmila Gurchenko
Lyudmila Gurchenko was born back in 1935 in the city of Kharkov. Before the war, her parents worked in the regional philharmonic society. My father worked as an accordion player, and my mother worked as a singer. They often performed together. It is not surprising that little Luda grew up a very musical girl. She had the opportunity to attend concerts where her parents performed, and spent a lot of time behind the scenes. When the war came, Luda's father went to war, and they stayed in Kharkov.
After the war, Luda, although belatedly, was able to go to school. A year later, she began attending Beethoven Music School. Even then, little Luda performed in military units and before veterans. People around saw the future pop singer in Lyuda, however, having received a certificate of secondary education, she went to conquer Moscow. Gurchenko submitted documents to VGIK, and she was accepted.
After training with the best university teachers, Lyudmila Gurchenko was ready to try herself in a big role. Her first works in cinema were the films "The Road of Truth" and "The Heart Beats Again." And the film "Carnival Night" became a real masterpiece of cinema, after filming in which Gurchenko overnight became the most popular actress in Soviet television viewers. Her song "Five Minutes" is still a symbol of the celebration of the New Year. No less successful was the musical film with Gurchenko's “Girl with a Guitar”. Songs written for this film were released on a separate disc. By that time, Lyudmila Gurchenko had already acquired the real status of a superstar.
At some point in the life of Lyudmila Gurchenko, real persecution began. Journalists accused her of a "capitalist approach to art." However, the actress continued to act in films. And soon, thanks to her talent and perseverance, film after film began to be released, which became the real pearls of Soviet cinema: “The Marriage of Balzaminov, ” “Station for Two, ” “Love and Pigeons” and others. Along with filming in the movie, Lyudmila Gurchenko was constantly involved in the theater. In addition, there were concerts, recordings, and the release of records. She also worked very successfully as a writer, composer and director.
Lyudmila Gurchenko was awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR and the USSR, orders of Merit for the Fatherland, Nika, Golden Gramophone and others.
Until her death, she continued to work and make her invaluable contribution to the development of culture. The life of Lyudmila Gurchenko ended abruptly. The cause of her death was pulmonary thromboembolism.
