Sir Alfred Joseph Hitchcock was born on 08/13/1899 in London. This famous director, screenwriter and producer until 1939 created his masterpieces in his homeland, and later began working in the United States. Hitchcock is the recipient of an honorary award from the American Film Institute. In addition, Queen Elizabeth II knighted him.
Alfred was born into a simple Catholic family, his father maintained a grocery store. By 1913, Hitchcock received knowledge at the Jesuit College of St. Ignatius in London, and later enrolled in the School of Navigation and Engineering, while attending a lecture on art history at the University of London.
Alfred’s film career began in 1920. True, then he worked only as an electrician in the studio. He was later taken to the advertising department as an artist, then a caption designer, then a screenwriter and an assistant director. Hitchcock's wife was Alma Reville, who was engaged in film editing. Alfred's first directorial work was the 1922 film, Always Tell Your Wife. Hitchcock worked both as a screenwriter and as a production designer. He made several silent films, 9 of which were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
