Leonid Zaitsev is a specialist in biomedical technologies, a Pilates instructor. In addition to two Russian entities, he received a foreign degree. He feels a person very subtly, delving into every "pain point" of a person. People say that, looking at Leonid, for some reason I want to look like him.
From biography
Leonid Zaitsev’s childhood dreams of the profession went through several steps: first a physical education teacher, then a boxer, and finally a fitness instructor.
Together with his father he ran for a while, in winter they loved skiing, in summer - various games. Father was a master of sports in boxing, and his son wanted to follow in his footsteps. At school, he dreamed of being like a physical education teacher V.Ya. Degtyareva. But after a year of work, Leonid realized that teaching was not his path.
Continuous self-improvement
In high school, it became clear that his son is not the most promising boxer, and his father, not intending to make him a champion, advised him to choose a different life matter. The parent simply wanted his son to be healthy and to have an interesting life. In 1986, Leonid decided to get a technical education. He wanted to deal with people, and he began to work as a boxing trainer and realized that working with adults was more interesting. And there were more successes. In 1997, he replenished educational baggage at the Russian Academy of Physical Culture. Here I switched to the wellness area. At the department of rehabilitation I met V.N. Seluyanov - the author of the Isoton method. They began to experiment in fitness. So Leonid came to what he is doing now.
Wonderful educational and professional career-ladder Leonid Zaitsev:
Pilates developer and one of his successors
In the middle of the twentieth century, the German Joseph Pilates developed a system of exercises and, being painful in childhood, became a physically strong young man. For many years, he helped raise the wounded during the war, and later recover from injuries to dancers. Much of what Pilates came to intuitively received further scientific confirmation. The contribution of this person to the world health system is significant. This direction differs from other gymnastic systems in a rehabilitation orientation. Now it is one of the most relevant techniques in Europe and America.
L. Zaitsev was lucky to work with the director of the Pilates Institute in London. This is the famous British coach Michael King, a former dancer. Here is what Leonid wrote about him in his diary:
Expert and practitioner
Leonid Zaitsev had an internship at the London Institute. In his opinion, teaching Pilates without a specific education is stupid and rather dangerous. The trainer says:
He can thoroughly explain which muscles are involved in various types of walking. Live TV viewers appreciate him. You can be sure that the question of what to do if your back hurts, Leonid will give a detailed answer.
In his studio, a program is being worked out with a chair, with a wand, which can be one of the best home exercise machines. So there is an adjustment of their motor activity, increased performance and a change in body composition. An important principle is the regulation of the load, which each participant determines for himself. First measure the circumference of the waist, buttocks and hips and other indicators that I would like to change.
L. Zaitsev is sure that the muscles of the pelvic floor, the muscles that fix the scapula and breathing techniques require detailed study. Leonid’s explanations of how to complete assignments, why do so, are akin to medical explanations. Classical exercises require smooth movements. The trainer explains this behavior by saying that "often the way we do is more important than what we do." At first, the excitement of people is affected, but then it is replaced by a general desire.
Between workouts, there are conversations and walks. After class, people play and cook dinner in the fresh air and sit out with tea until late. They part as friends.
From personal life
L. Zaitsev has two sons: Vitaly and Maxim. Junior Max is trying to keep up with adults and is struggling to make stretch marks.
For several years, Leonid lives in a village near Moscow and travels to Moscow to work. He rests in the village, writes, develops new programs and deals with his children. He likes that there he can get enough sleep in just four hours and work with great pleasure. Arriving there, he feels that the bustling Moscow has remained far, far away. Seminars and classes are often held right at his home. Subsequently, a sports hall was built.
Doesn't know boredom
Leonid has a rule - to spend Saturday at home in the country with children. His dog, the shepherd dog Masha, lived for 14 years and all this time was with his children. Then he got two alabai puppies. Before the dogs, a cute kitten appeared in his house. In a village house, he realized that you would not get bored with them.
In Turkey
Leonid had to choose a place for a retreat. Cirali village attracted his attention. He managed to persuade the children. This is a unique quiet place between the sea and the mountains, a wonderful sea. Water sports are prohibited here, as it is a nature reserve where turtles live and breed. The youngest son quickly met the children of yogis and attendants and spent whole days in the circle of new friends.
