Biography
The famous sculptor was born at the height of World War II, in 1943. The capital of Russia became Leonid’s hometown. He studied at an art institute in his hometown for 6 years. 2 years before graduation, he decided to try his hand at international, city and foreign competitions among the figures of sculptural images.
A year after receiving a higher art education, at the age of 26, Baranov was awarded a place in one of the most eminent and respected artists' councils in the Soviet Union. At the moment, is a member of the Council of Artists of the Russian Federation.
