Those who were fans of the series "Santa Barbara" probably remember the inimitable, charming handsome Mason Capwell. His name then became a household name, most of the spectators were in love with him - the wonderful American actor Lane Davis so convincingly and vividly played this role.
Biography
Lane Davis was born in Georgia in 1950. All his childhood, he and his two brothers spent behind the scenes - at work with his mother, a theater actress. Very often, the brothers helped set the scenery, and then watched the actors rehearse another performance. Lane's father worked on the radio - was the host of various programs.
The world of the theater fascinated the boy, and at a young age he decided that he would become an artist. Lane enrolled in a theater club, and at one of the competitions he read a long monologue, which the audience met with a standing ovation.
Even then, he showed the abilities of the hypocrite, so it is not surprising that after school, Davis entered a course of acting. It is also logical that as a student he began to appear on the stage in small roles.
Movie career
In those years, television projects were popular in the USA, and Davis did not escape the fate of a "serial actor" - in 1981 he played a doctor in the TV series "Days of Our Lives". Here he perfectly embodied the image of a lonely, self-enclosed person who does not want to open up, so as not to stir up the soul with memories.
However, this role did not bring him fame - Davis became famous throughout the world thanks to the television series "Santa Barbara". Many people remember that in the hours when this series was on, the streets of Russian cities became unusually deserted. The hero of Davis is Mason, the son of a billionaire. Probably few people could so plausibly portray such a controversial personality. Mason at Lane turned out to be a charming handsome man with an extraordinary ability to instantly set people against himself.
The audience admired his love affairs, and could not understand whether they love him or hate him for everything that he brings to women. Davis worked in the series for five years, and then left, tired of the monotony. Although it seemed that Leys and Mason are now the same thing. And the audience was very upset when they saw another artist in this role.
However, Davis was waiting for other activities: he went on a journey around the world to make the so-called "reboot" and think about the future. Upon returning home, the actor created his own theater, in which he also played. Here he was again able to relive the exciting moments of his childhood, when the theater seemed the most magical place on earth.
However, cinema did not want to part with a talented actor, and Davis was again invited to the series "Superman's New Adventures" to play the bastard Tempus. He definitely succeeded in this role - the audience hated his hero, and no longer connected the name of Lane and Mason. A little later, he played specialist in the series "Russians in the City of Angels", and also very convincingly.
But still his main passion remains theater, in which he plays the roles of actor, producer, director and mastermind of many projects.
