American scientist Robert Lanza is known in the scientific community as a leading expert in the field of stem cells and an ardent adherent of the theory of biocentrism. According to her, death is an illusion of human consciousness, and leaving life is just a transition to a parallel world.

Biography: early years
Robert Paul Lanza was born on February 11, 1956 in Boston. Soon the family moved to nearby Stoughton. In this small town and passed the childhood of Robert. At school age he became interested in the natural sciences. He especially liked biology.
After school, Robert entered the University of Pennsylvania. Soon he was fired up by scientific research. So, even at the university, Robert concentrated on studying the genetics of chickens. He independently conducted experiments on chickens in his own laboratory, under which he adapted a home basement. Robert even managed to make a small scientific discovery, about which he hastened to write in a report.
Soon, scientists at Harvard Medical School became interested in his research. At their recommendation, Robert switched from hen genetics to stem cell research. For ten years, his scientific work was led by such famous scientists as Burres Skinner and Christian Barnard.
As a student at the University of Pennsylvania, Robert received a Benjamin Franklin scholarship. It was paid only to outstanding students who were engaged in scientific research. Robert was also awarded a Fulbright grant.
After graduating from the University, Lanza continued his scientific activities. He soon became a doctor of medicine.
Career
In the late 90s, Robert dealt with human cloning. So, he was part of a group of scientists who were the first in the world to clone human embryos at an early stage and successfully created stem cells from mature ones. The last experiment was based on somatic transfer of the cell nucleus. Thus, scientists have proved that a nuclear transplant can be used to stop the aging process of the human body.
In 2001, Lanz was the first to clone a gaura. This is the largest representative of the bulls, is an endangered species. Two years later, he did the same with the bantenga. Lanz managed to clone him from the frozen skin cells of an animal that died in one of the zoos about 25 years ago.
Robert's research made a splash in the world of science. After that, medical corporations began to "hunt" him, wishing to get him to their staff. This was done by Advanced Cell Technology. In it, Lantsa led a group of scientists who grew an eye retina from stem cells. Using this technology made it possible to cure some types of blindness.
Robert Lanza conducted research in the field of tissue engineering. So, with specialists from the University of Wake Forest, he grew bladders from several cells. All of them were transplanted to patients. Lanta also has experience growing kidneys.
In 2007, Robert switched from cloning to studying death. He began to actively promote the theory of biocentrism, not only its classical version, but his own. According to her, the scientist compared the life of a person with a perennial plant, which wakes up every year to bloom again. Thus, Robert is trying to prove that after death people do not die, but simply move into a parallel universe. He motivates his hypothesis with the well-known law of conservation of energy, according to which energy never disappears, it is impossible to create or destroy it. Robert concluded that she could simply "flow" from one world to another.
According to the Lanz theory, everything seen by man exists thanks to consciousness. It turns out that people believe in death because they were told so, or because consciousness connects life with the work of internal organs.
Of course, the Lanz hypothesis had many critics. Unconditionally, his theory was supported only by physicists, drawing a parallel with the theory of an infinite number of universes with different versions of people and situations. According to her, everything that can happen is already happening somewhere. Therefore, there can be no a priori death.
Lanz believes that human life is not an accident, but a predetermined phenomenon. Even after death, consciousness will always remain in the present. It is in balance between an incomprehensible future and an infinite past, representing a movement between universes along the edge of time with other destinies, etc.
On the topic of biocentrism, Lanza wrote many reports, articles and books. He also has cloning efforts.

In 2010, Robert entered the list of scientists whose developments will have a huge impact on the development of biotechnology in the next 20 years. In 2014, he was included in the hundreds of influential people in the world according to TIME Magazine. There are several awards on the account of Lanz, including the National Institutes of Health.
Currently, Lanza works in the international corporation Astellas Pharma. In it, he leads the Institute of Regenerative Medicine. Robert also conducts field lectures in which he shares the results of his scientific work.
