Instruction manual
1
Call an ambulance right after the attack on you. At the same time, dial the GUVD 02 number or call the nearest police department on duty and report the fact of the crime. Immediately describe the signs of the offender and tell where he disappeared. In this case, the police will be more likely to quickly find the offender.
2
Wait for the police to arrive and get first aid from the arrived doctors. Already during the assistance process, police officers can have a short conversation with you and draw up a protocol. Describe all the details of the incident, provide information about the witnesses, if they were present at the crime scene.
3
Get a certificate of medical care from your medical staff that lists the nature and extent of your injuries, information from doctors, and the time you received the care. In the future, you will need this document to successfully complete the case.
4
If for some reason (for example, if you were seriously injured), you could not contact the police at the scene of the crime, you can file a statement later. You can do this in the duty department of the police department at your place of residence or in the prosecutor's office. Indicate all the details of what happened in the application and attach to it the medical certificate received. Make sure in place that your application has been officially registered. You will receive a notice of a criminal case or refusal no later than 10 days from the date of application.
5
Come to the appropriate site to identify the offender, having received official notification. You will be asked to identify the person who attacked you from several suspects. The information received from you will be recorded in the general protocol of the case and submitted to the court for trial. Also, be prepared in the future to appear at the request of the appropriate authority to participate in the trial.
