For many believers, parishioners of one church, the abbot of this church is truly more than just a priest or a spiritual father. The priest’s cross is heavy; it is a martyrdom requiring dedication. Therefore, it is not surprising that faithful parishioners wish to thank and congratulate their father. How to congratulate the holy father, so as not to cause his discontent and not violate the church canons?

If there is a Sunday school for children at the church, together with its students you can come up with a theatrical performance-congratulation of the father on Angel's Day. Participants: a host (an older child, 13-14 years old), two travelers (children 10 years old), a girl (8 years old) and one adult who will play Angela. The script plays the story of a traveler who carried a heavy burden of patience, carried without murmuring, for which he was rewarded by the fact that the Lord provided him with an angel who would come to help in difficult times. You can end the performance with an appeal to the Angel: - "Guardian Angel, save the priest! Prolong, Vladyka, priest’s days!"
2
Happy Angel Day can also be congratulated by giving a makeshift postcard. You will need a sheet of colored cardboard, for example, blue, colored paper to create an angel figurine, PVA glue and colored paper of the desired color, draw the details of the angel figurine, cut it out, paste it on the background. Draw a star in the corner of the postcard with a piece of silver. On the reverse side of the postcard write warm words-wishes of health, longevity and patience. Such cards are traditionally kept for years in the families of clergy.
3
The hand-embroidered icon is an excellent gift for the priest, however, such a gift will require a lot of time, effort and patience from the donor. You can embroider an icon with the face of the patron saint’s patron. For this you will need multi-colored floss thread, canvas and embroidery pattern. It can be done independently, after studying the original icon.

Among the appropriate gifts, one can also name various dishes depicting the patron saint’s patron saint, oil, frankincense, holy water, spiritual literature, particles of relics brought from holy places. The Holy Father can be gifted with quite everyday things, for example, a piece of fabric on a cassock or a cassock. With the approval of the priest, you can give church utensils or flowers. But remember, whatever the present may be, the most important thing is the sincere words coming from the very heart that accompany it!
