American pop singer Christina Perry is best known outside the United States as the performer of the song "A Thousand Years", performed in the movie "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1". Although this, of course, is not her only hit. Perry currently has three studio albums.

early years
Christina Perry was born in 1986. Her childhood was spent in Bensalem, a small town in the state of Pennsylvania (USA).
Christina's parents are Maria and Dante Perry. Christina also has an older brother Nick, a well-known rock musician in North America (he is one of the founders of the rock band Silvertide).
Kristina learned to play the guitar when she was still a teenager - at the age of sixteen.
In 2004, she graduated from a Catholic school, after which she studied at the college for a specialist in management and communications for some time. But ultimately, Perry dropped out of college, deciding to connect her life with songwriting.
At the age of 21, in search of her happiness, she first arrived in Los Angeles (which, incidentally, is very far from Bensalem, literally on the other side of the United States - the distance between these cities is more than 3, 500 kilometers). Here she held auditions for various record companies. This brought no significant result, and she went back home.
Singer career
After some time, Christina Perry reappeared in Los Angeles. She rented an apartment here, and to make ends meet, got a waitress in a restaurant. And after work, she continued to write her songs
The first success came to Christine Perry thanks to the composition "Jar of Hearts", composed by her in 2009. This song was used as an accompaniment for the dance number of her friend Kelty Knight. It was a performance in the framework of the quite famous in the USA television show "So You Think You Can Dance" ("So, you think you can dance"). After this performance was shown on TV, Christine's song instantly became a hit. It was posted on the Internet, and over a month it was downloaded about one hundred thousand times. Plus, pretty soon this song hit the main American music chart Billboard Hot 100.
This forced the record labels to pay attention to the novice singer, and on July 21, 2010, Kristina signed a contract with Atlantic Records.
Already in November of the same 2010, Perry recorded and released her first official release - a mini-album called "The Ocean Way Sessions". It contained only 5 songs.
Then, in March 2011, the single “Arms” was released, and two months later, on May 10, 2011, the first full-fledged studio album “Lovestrong” was presented to the public. On the Billboard 200, this record debuted immediately on line 4. And already in the first week, 58, 000 copies were sold.
In July 2011, Perry went on her first world tour, which lasted almost a year and included 71 performances.
October 18, 2011 Perry released her single "A Thousand Years", which became part of the soundtrack of the melodrama "Twilight. Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1". This single also hit the Billboard Hot 100 charts - and from the original 63th place, he was able to get to the 31st. Moreover, over time, this single was recognized four times platinum (that is, more than 4 million copies of it were sold!).
On October 16, 2012, another important event took place for fans of the singer's talent - she released the Christmas mini-album "A Very Merry Perri Christmas". It had one original song ("Something About December") and four covers.

In November 2012, the movie "Twilight. Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" was released on the big screens. And the soundtrack for him included a rewritten version of the song "A Thousand Years". This option is interesting, in particular, in that, in addition to Kerry's vocals, the vocals of the American singer and actor Steve Casey also sound.
In February 2013, Perry partnered with the nonprofit organization To Write Love on Her Arms, which specializes in helping people who are addicted to drugs, drugs, and alcohol. As part of this collaboration, Perry, along with other stars, took part in a three-day charity tour.
On June 21 of the same 2013, Kristina tweeted that she was about to release her second album. The first single from him was called "Human". It was posted on November 18, 2013 via iTunes.
But the listeners could enjoy the second album entirely only six months later - it was released on April 1, 2014 (its name is "Head or Heart"). And immediately after the release, the singer went on a tour in his support.

On June 9, another single from this album was released separately - "Burning Gold". And on August 1, a video for this composition appeared.
December 19, 2014 Christine Perry took part in the annual festive concert "Christmas in Washington".
In May 2016, the singer wrote on instagram that she was already working on her third audio album. However, in fact, a new disc (called "Songs for Carmella: Lullabies & Sing-a-Longs") appeared only in January 2019. Moreover, her concept was quite unusual. This disc is dedicated to Christina's little daughter and, in fact, is a collection of lullabies.
