They always lie on the most prominent shelves in stores and, as a rule, stand quite a lot. Almost any publication can be downloaded on the Internet or ask friends or colleagues. Do not bypass second-hand bookstores, where for a penny you can buy a coveted storybook or an exciting detective story.

Be guided by the lists of literary awards and reader reviews. On the Internet there are lists of the best books for any year. You can focus on literary prize winners and sales leaders. If you are interested in a specific topic or genre, you can visit the annual book fair. You won’t leave without a book.

Sign up to the library, visit literary cafes and discuss books on forums. In Russia, all conditions have been created for a reading and thinking audience: lectures and cafes, libraries, which update the funds every year and go into digital format. In the numerous forums devoted to literature and reading habits, you can get a lot of information about new things in the literary world, bright debuts and perfect failures of recognized word masters.

Keep a diary in paper or electronic form in order to write down impressions about what you read, leave notes, praise and scold. Even a social network is suitable for this. Write down your favorite quotes. Soon you will "grow" friends and like-minded people. Thus, it is quite possible to join the literary community. Or just start reading books again.

Do not overdo reading light literature: you can "get hooked" on it. Alternate modern and classic pieces. So you will be aware of new products and will not forget the reference Russian language of the 19-20 centuries.
