It would seem how long ago it was: the first tests, the launch of a spacecraft, the exit of man into interstellar space. Today, astronautics has become a very common phenomenon, people not only actively use the universe for their own purposes, launching satellites and exploring the motion of planets, but also think about space tourism and even the development of new territories.

And it all started with science fiction, legends, legends, dreams of humanity about something unknown and distant. However, a technical opportunity that could translate the fantasies of the ancient Chinese, Iranians, Babylonians, Jules Verne and Herbert Wales into reality only appeared at the beginning of the 20th century and is associated with the name of the great Russian scientist Konstantin Tsiolkovsky. It should be noted that the first attempts to launch space objects were made by a German rocket back in 1944, but almost the first flight into space took place on October 4, 1957, and it was made an artificial Earth satellite, built in the mighty USSR.

The real triumph of mankind in the issue of space exploration after sending into space and a huge number of successful and not very tests was the launch of the astronaut, whose name is known to any inhabitant of the planet today. This is Yuri Gagarin, the first inhabitant of the Earth who spent about 108 minutes in space in 1961 and landed safely in the village of the Saratov region. Already on May 5 of the same year, American astronaut Alan Shepard on "Mercury-3" climbed up a distance of 186 kilometers.

Later, group sorties began, which were carried out at the Mir, Salyut space stations, etc. On the way to progress, mankind could not be stopped, new names thundered every year, new inventions were introduced, new technologies were developed. The space race of countries has begun.

In 1968, people managed to master the lunar surface, this heroic feat belongs to a group of Americans consisting of Armstrong, Collins and Aldrin, who spent 21 hours on an unknown planet. Similar landings were repeated in 1971. And in 1075 the first space docking of collaborating ships in open space took place.

One of the outstanding names of the era of the beginning of space exploration is the name of Sergey Pavlovich Korolev, it was he who designed and sent to a near-earth orbit a great many satellites, missile systems and ships, automatically controlled, from the Earth. Under his direct supervision, the "Gagarin" Vostok was built, stations were developed that were later used to study the lunar surface, it was his thoughts that belonged to such ships as "Venus", "Probe", multi-seat "Sunrise", which became that platform, with which people took their first step into outer space.

Today, ambitious humanity, inspired by its successes, expects to go further, ahead of the exploration of Mars, the discovery of new planets, the study of their structure, properties of materials, and, possibly, the creation of intergalactic colonies suitable for life.
