Isabelle Geffroy (Isabelle Geffroy) - French singer, who performs under the pseudonym ZAZ. Her work is characterized by a mixture of different genres and directions: chanson, jazz, folk, pop song, acoustic music.
For an atypical voice, ZAZ is compared with Piaf and Freel. Among her musical influences, the singer mentions "The Seasons" by Vivaldi, Ella Fitzgerald, Enrico Macias, Richard Bon, Bobby McFerrin, French song, African, Latin and Cuban rhythms.
In 2012, as part of the ZAVTRA International Music Festival, held in Moscow and St. Petersburg on June 9 and 10, ZAZ sang her songs, loved by many fans of her talent. The explosive success of the singer in Russia proved that people have not forgotten how to perceive music with their hearts. ZAZ managed to convey the classic jazz manush to the hearts of all generations. This performance of the singer was not the first for her in Russia. In the fall of 2011 (October 31 - November 1) ZAZ already conquered Moscow and St. Petersburg with its melodious voice.
Singer Isabelle Jeffroy very quickly gained her current popularity. Having won in January 2009 a young talent contest (an analogue of the Russian Star Factory) held in Paris, ZAZ in May 2010 released its first album, which turns gold in less than a month. Half of the album consists of songs written by the singer himself, the other half consists of co-written compositions ("Ni oui ni non", "Prends garde a ta langue", "J'aime a nouveau", "Le Long de la route", "Trop sensible", "Les Passants", etc.) Also included in the disc is the song "Dans Ma Rue", at one time played by Edith Piaf herself.
The ZAZ star will undoubtedly become increasingly brighter and more interesting for its fans, there are already a large number of fan clubs on the Internet dedicated to the singer’s work. Nothing is known about ZAZ’s next visit to Moscow, although judging by the enthusiasm it is received in Russia, it is just around the corner. Follow the information on ZAZ fan sites.
