From the biography of E. Kisin
The future virtuoso pianist was born on October 10, 1971 in the capital of the USSR. Eugene’s father worked as an engineer, his mother successfully taught piano. At the age of six, Kisin went to school to them. Gnesins and began to study music. The teacher of a talented child was Anna Kantor.
At the age of 10, Eugene first performed with an orchestra, performing one of Mozart's concerts. Then there were solo performances, including in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. Eugene’s performances excited the music community and made the pianist a favorite of music lovers in the capital. The musician was well received on the banks of the Neva.
Most of all in the early years of his career, Kisin liked to perform Chopin. Each time during concerts, Eugene demonstrated stylistic sensitivity, free virtuosity and artistry captivating the audience.
In 1985, Eugene goes with concerts abroad. After 2 years, Kisin performed at the famous Berlin Festival. He was soon invited to perform in the United States. Some of the concerts featuring a virtuoso pianist were broadcast on American television. Kisina was seen by a multi-million US audience.
