Kevin Faige, the future famous producer, was born in Boston, which is located in Massachusetts, USA. He was born on June 2, 1993. However, when he was still very young, the family moved to New Jersey. As a result, Kevin’s childhood and youth passed in Westfield.
Feigi received his basic education at Westfield High School. After that, he aimed to enter the University of Arts and Cinematography in Southern California. However, with higher education, things did not go so smoothly. They did not want to accept him as a student for a long time. As a result, Kevin was enrolled in the university only the sixth time. His mentor and the man with whom Feigi had practice during the training was Lauren Schuler Donner, who at that time was a producer of film and television.
Since childhood, Kevin Feigi was interested in comics and the film industry. Such a passion for cinema was very much supported by his grandfather - Robert Short. The fact is that for a long time he was a producer of television series, in particular, he worked on such shows as "World of Light".
Career development in the film industry
After graduation, Lauren Donner invited the young and very promising Faigi to become her assistant. Kevin readily agreed. He worked on such projects as "Letter to You", "Volcano".
Gradually, gaining experience in the film industry, Feigi moved to the post of second producer. In this capacity, he worked with Donner on the movie X-Men. It’s not just that this project allowed Kevin to so quickly move up the career ladder. His knowledge in the field of comics was extensive, because Donner risked entrusting him with such a serious role. As a result, the picture turned out to be very successful, and the basic principle of Faygi's further work with film comics was the idea that the film should be as close as possible to the original source.
The next breakthrough in Faigi's career was that after the release of the X-Men, they became interested in Marvel Studios. Particular attention was paid to the young and confident producer by Avi Arad, who at that time held a leading position in the studio. After short negotiations in early 2000, Feigi was accepted into the studio, where for six years he successfully worked on various film comics.
When Avi Arad stepped down as head of Marvel Studios in 2006, Kevin Feigi quickly took his place. He managed to bring film comics to a new level, working either as an executive producer for films, or as a co-producer of films. According to the results of his fruitful work, representatives of the New York Times in 2011 awarded him the title of the most influential person in modern cinema.
In 2018, Kevin Feigi received an award from KinoNews as part of the "Best Newsmaker" nomination. At the moment, in his biography there are more than 50 paintings on which he successfully worked.
