Dancing is one of the oldest forms of art. Over the centuries, new types of dances have appeared, many of which have survived to this day. But progress does not stand still, and modern styles appear, also studied in many schools.
Classical dances
These styles were invented and developed several centuries ago. During their development, they acquired clear rules and canons. Usually, classical choreography means ballet. This style of dance is quite complicated, for professional mastery of ballet art it is necessary to study from childhood. Ballet has clearly defined rules: steps and movements, body position, figure, posture, music and costumes are regulated.
Ballet is divided into classical, romantic and modern.
Classical ones also include ballroom dancing. They are divided into two types - European and Latin American. The European program includes waltz, tango, foxtrot and quickstep; Latin American includes samba, rumba, jive, cha-cha-cha, paso doble. Learning ballroom dancing is possible at any age, but these styles also have clear, regulated rules.
Folk dances
These varieties were invented in different countries, but gained popularity around the world. The most famous folk dance is belly dance, belly dance or oriental dance. Passion for the east began in the last century and is still popular. Bellidans dance in specialized schools and fitness clubs. The basic movements are quite simple and natural, but good coordination and plasticity are necessary to master all the elements of oriental dance.
Another popular style is flamenco. The dance of passion is performed at many parties and corporate parties - it is very spectacular and dynamic. Recently, the Russian folk dance is undergoing a rebirth. This is largely facilitated by the emergence of young performers specializing in folk songs. Also popular dance types include the less popular types now - quadrille, cancan, mamba, gypsy and Indian dances.
Folk dances are more open to innovations, but performers must be dressed in folk costumes.
