Hearing the question of which country is the most drinking in the world, many by inertia will say: "Russia." However, the rating compiled by the World Health Organization, consisting of seven countries that are leaders in the use of alcoholic beverages per capita in one year, testifies to completely different things.

Rating opens a small African country Andorra. Local citizens, because of their love of alcohol, were able to take seventh place. The result of research showed that almost 15.5 liters of alcohol per year per capita in this country.
2
One step lower in the hit parade is Estonia, where 15.56 liters of alcohol are consumed per person per year. The country's authorities have been unsuccessfully trying to reduce the amount of alcohol consumed by introducing a similar Russian ban on its sale from 22-00 to 10-00. It is forbidden to sell alcohol-containing liquids to minors, and also to appear with alcohol in public places, with the exception of specially designed ones (meaning restaurants, cafes and bars).
3
In fifth place is Ukraine. The rich traditions of the feast, which cannot be held without the famous gorilka and pepper, along with the European mentality, which does not provide for strong prohibitions on alcohol, played a role. Therefore, as a result of research, it became known that the average Ukrainian consumes about 15.57 liters per year.
4
In fourth place you can see Russia, which is considered the birthplace of vodka and various tinctures based on it. In the case of Russians, the level of alcohol consumption per capita is 15.57 liters per year. This figure is falling slightly from year to year, which lawmakers associate with restrictions on the sale of alcohol introduced in the country. It is curious that the lion's share of the drink is not vodka or cognac, but beer.
5
The third place in the hop-hop parade is Hungary. And this fact is not at all surprising, because in this country, like nowhere else, they like to drink a glass of beer for a delicious dinner from hearty and varied traditional dishes. In just one year, a Hungarian can drink about 16.3 liters of hops.
6
“Silver” in the ranking was able to conquer the Czech Republic, which is famous all over the world for its beer. Here, the average person consumes about 16.5 liters of alcohol. It should be noted that Czech brewing traditions have a long history. And therefore, no restrictions will be able to limit the consumption of a foamy drink, especially since the Czech Republic’s place in the ranking is, in fact, quite doubtful, because it is extremely difficult to calculate how much the country's citizens drink, and how many its multimillion-strong tourist audience arriving specifically for try one of the famous varieties of live beer.

Well, the first "victorious" place is taken by Moldova. This is a country where almost everyone perfectly knows the knowledge and practice of wine making. Probably, it was this fact that could affect such results, which show that on average about 18.3 liters of alcohol per person per year.
