A biometric passport appeared in Russia just a few years ago and is gaining more and more popularity. This is not surprising, since it is significantly different from its predecessor. A new chip is built into the new generation passport which contains the owner’s photo, last name, first name, middle name, date of birth, passport number, date of issue and expiration. This passport is reliable and also speeds up the border control process.

As for the design of the biometric document, it is almost no different from receiving a regular passport of the old model. You also fill out a questionnaire and application. But at the same time, it is important to do everything according to the rules, as incorrect filling of the questionnaire may become a reason for refusing to issue it.
The biometrics questionnaire is filled in the usual 14 font and always in capital letters.

First indicate your last name, first name, middle name. If you changed your name, write the place and date of the change of surname. And if you haven’t changed, then you’ll write completely, “Name has not changed”
