Rail transport is one of the safest and most reliable modes of transport. Traveling by train is comfortable, convenient and cheap. Wagons in trains vary in level of comfort: there are common wagons, reserved seat wagons, coupes or CBs. In order to get into your car, you first need to know its number.

Instruction manual
1
Read your travel document carefully. The column "Wagon" will indicate the number and type of wagon. For example, if ā16 Pā is indicated in this column, this means that your car is sixteenth reserved seat.
2
Arriving at the station, listen to the dispatcher, who transmits messages about the arrival and departure of trains. He reports on the time of departure of the train, as well as on the numbering order of the cars (from the head or from the tail of the train). Follow the platform indicated by the dispatcher. To save yourself from unnecessary fuss in the process of finding your car, come to the station in advance.
3
To find out the car number of a standing train, you need to pay attention to the windows located at the beginning or at the end of the car. On them should hang signs with the number of the car. Numbering wagons, as a rule, goes in the usual manner (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.), but sometimes there are situations when at the end or at the beginning of the train there is a wagon with a number that goes out of the general numbering. For example, after the eleventh car is the twenty-fourth. This happens if the car is attached to the train at any intermediate station.
4
If you do not see number plates on the windows of cars, ask about the number of the car from the conductor who serves it. Usually at stations and train stations, they go onto the platform or into the carriage platform.
5
Another type of railway transport is the electric train. As a rule, the issue of numbering cars in an electric train is not a matter of principle for a passenger, since a ticket is purchased without indicating a specific seat. But in some cases, you need to know the number of the car, for example, to inform the train operator about some kind of malfunction. You are also required to give the car number to the policeman accompanying the electric train if an offense is committed before your eyes. The number should be indicated above the door at the beginning and at the end of the car.
