Political parties nominated their candidates for the post of head of state. From the Communist Party - Gennady Zyuganov, from "United Russia" - Vladimir Putin, from the LDPR - Vladimir Zhirinovsky, from "Yabloko" - Grigory Yavlinsky, from "Fair Russia" - Sergey Mironov. In addition to them, self-nominated billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov will fight for the presidency. On January 27, 2012, Yabloko leader Grigory Yavlinsky left the election race. The Central Election Commission ruled to expel Yavlinsky from the struggle for the post of head of state. The CEC’s decision is justified by the fact that as a result of verification of subscription lists in support of Grigory Alekseevich, 25% of the marriage was revealed (up to 5% is allowed). It is difficult to objectively evaluate the hypothetical interest that the candidates will receive on March 4. According to data obtained from the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM), the majority of the country's population is ready to cast their votes for Putin - 53.3%, for Zyuganov - 10.3%, for Zhirinovsky - 8.2%, for Mironov - 3, 3%, for Prokhorov - 4.6%. On December 4, 2011, elections to the State Duma took place, after which a whole series of events unfolded: from the president's statement on the recognition of the election valid to rallies disagreeing with the vote. After that, a lot of videos appeared on the Internet, indicating unauthorized actions at polling stations. In order to prevent the situation from repeating in the March 4 presidential election, surveillance cameras were installed at all polling stations. A socially active part of the population will now be able to watch the work of polling stations through these cameras on the website of the Central Election Commission. At the same time, on the election day, 5 million people will be able to observe voting over the Internet.
