Mobile communication has entered our life quite rapidly: so that even the generally accepted norms of politeness with respect to cell phone conversations did not manage to be worked out “naturally”. As a result, some people become a kind of "mobile terrorists", harassing others with endless calls and demanding an immediate reaction to SMS - or forcing everyone to listen to long conversations with their best friend at full volume. How to use the phone so as not to cause irritation to others?

Instruction manual
1
Turn off the sound of the phone not only in the theater and at the concert, but also in the cinema or museum, as well as in places of worship. In other public places, set the volume to minimum so that every time you get a call, the sound does not make everyone flinch within a radius of 100 meters.
2
It is better to turn off the phone during business meetings. If you spend time in the company, especially in a "close circle", and they call you - be extremely brief. A long telephone conversation will be a sign of disrespect to your interlocutors. You can apologize, say that you can’t talk and promise to call back later.
3
If you call someone yourself, ask at the beginning of the conversation whether it is convenient for your interlocutor to speak with you at the moment.
4
If they call you at a time when you can’t talk on the phone, “drop” the call and send a message promising to call back later and, if necessary, indicating the reason why you cannot do this.
5
In crowded places, speak on the phone in an undertone, without forcing outsiders around you to listen to the details of your privacy. Try not to talk in lines, in a crowded bus, or in other places with a high density of people, where you will be forced to speak “over the ear” of your involuntary neighbor: this way you invade his personal space.
6
If you call someone, but the subscriber does not pick up the phone or “drops” the call, do not call back 10-15 times in a row. If a person cannot speak, the situation is unlikely to change in 5-10 seconds. Usually people then call back themselves, but you can also write an SMS asking them to contact, especially if urgent business.
7
If you do not receive an SMS message within 15-20 minutes - this is not a reason to be offended by inattention or assume that you are being ignored. Maybe at the moment the person is sitting at the dentist, saving the world or running cross-country. In the end, each of us has the right to be busy.
